Sentry Crash Report:

Description Martin 2016-01-14 14:58:28 UTC
When I add a transition between two clips and try to drag that transition (because it may have been in the wrong spot) the clip gets dragged as well and is no longer usable afterwards (cannot be deleted, moved or otherwise modified).
See attached Youtube video link.
I have a similar problem when using an effect (adjusting some values) and then clicking somewhere in the timeline where the clip then also gets dragged, but I haven't been able to reproduce that reliably. It happens enough times though to be annoying.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Add 2 clips to new project (eg. color clips)
2. Put 1st clip on track "Video 1" and 2nd clip on "Video 2" so that they have an overlap
3. Right click 1st clip and add a transition
4. Try to drag the transition
5. Select clip and try to delete it with the delete key
6. Notice error message in the bottom left corner

Actual Results:
The clip gets dragged with the transition and cannot be deleted anymore

Expected Results:
The clip stays in its position and can be deleted or moved afterwards

Hi,

Thanks for your report. This issue was fixed in Kdenlive 15.12.1 that was released yesterday. This is caused by a bug in the timeline context menu. As a workaround, after using the context menu, click in an empty area to deselect all clips before attempting to move an item.
