I am using Solydxk KDE system and I have created a database table and also a form. Now when in designing mode for my form all I was doing was adding text labels and resizing the height of each label when Kexi crashes. I restart Kexi and the same thing happens again.

Also, we have Kexi 2.9.10 now, 2.8.5 is from Jul 5, 2014.
Would you be able to test your database on another computer with supported version of Kexi? Such a bug has been highly likely fixed.

Another approach: please try to temporarily change Widget style in KDE: http://userbase.kde.org/images.userbase/8/88/Settings-application-appearance.png
