Description xdmx 2016-01-06 11:27:37 UTC
At the moment in the settings it's possible to set to record a region of the screen, but it asks for the offset and size. I have no idea where is exactly located the region I want to record and I don't event want to calculate it.

It'd be much better to have a way like spectacle/ksnapshot where you can click a button and select the region on the screen, without having to enter any manual number

Reproducible: Always

Did you try vokoscreen? It has an incredible neat UI for selecting a region on screen using the mouse: a rectangle with size indication and corner, side handles, and a mid (move) handle. Also can select a window and will even follow this window.

Hello xdmx, does the suggestion of Vokoscreen satisfy your needs or you feel this is something you need in Kdenlive?

Please close the report if you agree.

Thanks

Hi Farid, I've been using Vokoscreen so far and it's very good, I don't feel a need of having it integrated into Kdenlive since I can just import the video and edit it when I need.

Thanks Wegwerf for the suggestion!
