Dear maintainers, 

since the change from KDE4 to plasma I am missing the category "hamradio" in Kmenu. Additionally I found no way to add a new main category, only the possibilty to add new submenus to already existent main categories. 

Maybe this can be fixed by editing the config file directly (which is the correct one?), but it would be nice, if you might add a function to kmenuedit, where main categories can be easily added.
