krusader still does understand "camera:/" protocol and shows the usb-connected camera (in my case, an EOS 7D).
Dolphin did the same sing the bove protocol specification in kde4, but now in plasma5 it says 'invalid protocol'

kamera provides support for the camera:/ protocol, and releases prior to 15.12.0 did not yet support kf5

Good news is that kamera as part of kde applications 15.12.0 release now does, so once fedora provides kamera-15.12.0 (or newer), this ought to work.


fyi, I'm one of fedora's packagers, and am working my way through updating packages to 15.12.0... will hopefully have an update available soon (best estimate would be ~2 weeks before it hits stable updates)
