- What I was doing when the application crashed:
I opened dolphin from the recent applications menu.
I entered split view mode from the split button beside control on the Dolphin
I navigated in the second pane to a different folder
I attempted to drag a file from the first pane to the second pane
The application immediately closed and thrw up the developers' grey error box from which I am currently entering this information
I had just started my daily session (monday)
yesterday (sunday) I eperienced the same crash during the same operation - it is eminently repeatable for me
I have opened Dolphin from the Konsole application once and the result is the same - split view mode; drag and drop; application crashes

The crash can be reproduced every time.

@summerson96: I see you already installed debug symbols for KIO. Could you please install them also for Ark? (it's the ark-debuginfo package on openSUSE).

Closing, the OP told me that this problem was resolved after updating its system.
