Description Bernd Steinhauser 2015-12-20 14:05:38 UTC
Wanted to setup a new background on one screen. Since I wanted to preview the background image on the whole screen, I moved the dialog to the next screen and noticed that it as well as the panel, desktop etc. became unresponsive. Didn't see an error message in the log, though.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Desktop Settings (Right Click -> Desktop Settings)
2. Notice everything works fine
3. Move this window to another screen
4. Notice everything related to plasmashell stopped working

I didn't wait too long to see if it comes back, but it at least hung for one minute before I killed it.

Current installed version is 5.5.0, will upgrade to .1 soon.

Works here.

Can you:
 open a terminal
 reproduce this

in the terminal type

sudo gdb --pid `pidof plasmashell`

then when everything stops, type "bt" and copy the result

Just updated to 5.5.1 today and cannot reproduce any more.

So it's either gone through that update or I did something else to make it go away (although I wouldn't know what).

Marking as resolved.
