Hey Krita team,

I was curious if its possible to add a toggle on/off pen pressure switch on the GUI.

I know you can go into the brush editor to turn it on and off, but you have to stop working, go into settings, etc. etc.

Is this possible to add on the next release?

Thanks for considering.

Reproducible: Always

Technically yes, it wouldn't even be really hard to do. But I just cannot promise we'll be able to find the time to implement it for 3.0. There's a huge amount of work to be done still, porting, bug fixing, implementing stretch goals...

Also, might be considered part of the 2015 accepted HUD stretch goal.

If we add this my vote would be to include it in the toolbar area, but do not show it by default. It is not a common thing, so it would over crowd our already overcrowded toolbar.

this idea also is kind of related to the brush editor HUD that Dmitry is working on to quickly change brush settings. One solution could also be to add it there somewhere

Yes, adding an action that toggles this is enough. Users can put the action in the toolbar if they want to.

this was done in part of 3.0.1. The button was decided to be placed in the toolbar. It is not added by default, but can be added through the toolbar customization.
