Description q.chatelais 2015-12-04 16:58:40 UTC
I have a panel which expands and shrinks depending on its components size. However the icon-only task manager is demanding to the panel a bigger space than it needs. For each open app, the task manager is expanding a lot, leaving a blank space on the right.

Note : with the others task managers, it works as expected.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Put an Icon-only Task Manager onto a panel
2. Open one or more apps

Actual Results:
The task manager is taking too much space.

Expected Results:
The task manager should be as long as the total size of the icons.

Git commit 1e3b92679642c861751cf3cf22cbe46eab568583 by Eike Hein.
Committed on 06/12/2015 at 21:53.
Pushed by hein into branch 'Plasma/5.5'.

Improve preferred geometry calculation.

UX is still terrible though - task appears, panel resizes, task
layout reflows ...
