Hi there :)

Krita is a wonderful product and i am sure, that the new development model, whichgoes independent from the rest of the Calligra suite, makes sense.

Inkscape is for sure a nice vector based drawing app, for me is it more easy to develop with Qt and KDE libarys and other devs think similar:

I know, that Inkscapes development is currently in front of Karbons and i think, that this can change quickly through porting Code from Inkscape to Karbon and the help of the Krita foundation.

Karbon can be the pure vector version of Krita and with that, a nice partner on its side. :)

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.) Open Krita and Karbon, side by side.
2.) See the differences and how well they can work with each other ;)

If someone fear, that a app like Karbon cannot rise up to a state of the art app, please read this: http://www.linux-magazine.com/Online/Features/Krita-KDE-s-Powerful-Graphics-Editor-Takes-on-Photoshop-and-GIMP

I'm sorry, but bugzilla is really the wrong place for this discussion, not to mention that as a Krita developer, I'm fully aware of Karbon already, and of the article you linked to. We're already stretched incredibly thin developing Krita and adding another application just is a recipe for failure. But in 2016 we do intend to spend time on Krita's vector tools (which were all shared with Karbon in any case).

I am fully aware about the resources:

There are other methods to help Karbon, like mention and share it on Kritas Website: The app is imho far enough developed to do this.

Nice to read, that the vector features in Krita flow in Karbon.

Matthias,

Please do not change the state of a bug. We use bugzilla as a work tool, to figure out our todo list. And this just isn't a bug report. You can discuss ideas for Karbon on the Calligra or Krita forums, but this isn't the right place.

I think, it is.
