bug occurs using plasma 5.4.3, KF 5.16 and apps 15.08.3 on a Lenovo X220 machine.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. generate a file containing underscores in a folder in which you have enough entries to be able to scroll down
2. scroll down
3.

Actual Results:  
underscores are painted multiple times (see screenshot attached)

Expected Results:  
underscores are painted correctly

Does it happen with every font?

Indeed, it depends. I am using Carlito font and switching to e.g. Noto or Ubuntu I do not see this issue. Strange...
