Thanks for the report.

What do you need calendar dataengine for?
Comment 2 Gerd Fleischer 2015-11-18 18:36:45 UTC
I want to port my plasmoid
http://kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=107779
to Plasma5.
I need a way to get akonadi events to a qml list- or treeview.

Thanks.

I see.

You might be happy to know that we have a new system in place.
It's plugin based and it's part of plasma-framework. The calendar
applet we ship should have gotten this in 5.5 release but due to
release collisions with plasma-framework, it will be postponed to
5.6. Anyhow that system will give you a list of events you can do
magic with.

Here's how it looks though: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/6761102/plasma55-screenshots/Plasma_5_5_Calendar.png

Once Plasma 5.5 is branched, I'll put it to master and you can see
how it is used and then just reuse it.

There is also a KHolidays plugin already and Dan Vratil has akonadi
plugin, which will either be part of KDE Applications 16.04 or released
spearately before that.

Thanks, as long there will be some docs or examples I'm fine with it.
Comment 5 Gerd Fleischer 2016-04-03 08:41:27 UTC
