Pressing Alt+PgDown or Alt+PgUp (whether there are or there are none bookmarks in the current document) makes the focus to exit the editing area and focusing the Kate menu instead.

This is obviously wrong.

It does not leave the focus to the menu for me. It only shows the accelerators when holding Alt, like usual.
Please check with the latest version.

Alt+Up/Alt+Down (not PgUp, PgDown) work now without problems.

Thanks for testing. Let's set to WFM as we don't know the commit that fixed it.
