After fixing this bug https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=351814 everything is working correctly until reboot.

When system is restarted akonadi starts to resync all IMAP folders again - so their content disappears and is all being loaded again. Sometimes with all messages marked as unread. Anyway this renders these e-mails unavailable for a couple of minutes (depends on the number of e-mails and on bandwidth).

After this moment or maybe after another restart this IMAP resource starts to be unusable because after repeated synchronization starts another synchronization - at some point it is an endless process.

This issue is only valid for Office365 IMAP resource.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Setup Office365 IMAP resource and wait for everything to sync
2. Reboot computer
3. Open up kmail, click e.g. on INBOX folder and observe

Actual Results:  
All is being synchronized again. E-Mails are disappearing and appearing again.

Expected Results:  
Only new changes should be synchronized.

I Have: Plasma 5.4.2, KF 5.15, KDE Applications 15.08.2, Qt 5.5.1, akonadi 5.0.51

I've tried again with KDE Apps 15.12.1, Plasma 5.5.4, KF 5.18 and everything seems to work fine again.
