Description Peter Sedik 2015-11-03 00:19:56 UTC
Settings->Configure Krusader->Panel->Selection Mode->Left mouse button preserves selection

Unchecking this checkbox does nothing. The functionality is the same whether it is checked or not: left mouse button always preserves selection.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to Settings->Configure Krusader->Panel->Selection Mode
2. Uncheck Left mouse button preserves selection, Apply changes
3.

Actual Results:
If I select several files in the panel, and then click with left mouse button to some other file, all selected files remains selected.

Expected Results:
Previously selected files should become unselected.

Kept the files selected.

Do you have "Left mouse button selects" checked or unchecked?

First, it was checked, and then I unchecked it. Now I see that maybe the
title of the bug report is unclear - the checkbox itself works, I can check
or uncheck it via mouse. But the functionality behind the checkbox doesn't
work, i.e. unchecking it has no effect.

The two checkboxes are related: a checked "Left mouse button selects" means that every click adds the current item to the selection. If "Left mouse button preserves selection" is unchecked, every click starts a new selection, otherwise, it adds/removes the clicked item from the selection.

Unchecked "Left mouse button selects" makes no changes on selection regardless of the other's checkbox status.

This is the expected behaviour; if there's something strange, try first to reset to "krusader mode"; if it still doesn't work, close krusader, move your krusader configuration file (~/.kde/share/config/krusaderrc) in another folder and start Krusader.
