After setting the mouse setting for double-clicking to open files and folders, I noticed it was working on Dolphin, but not on the folders viewed on the Desktop. Same thing applies to keyboard shortcuts like Shift+Del. They work on Dolphin but not on the fodlers viewed on the Desktop

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Select any file or folder in Desktop
2.Shift+Delete
3.Nothing happens

Actual Results:
The same

Expected Results:
Prompt a "Do you really want to delete this?" box

The single vs. double-click setting will apply after a restart, due to a bug lower in the stack.

Shift+Del is bug 344969.
