Description J 2015-10-29 10:57:18 UTC
Top panel configured as a rudimentary dock with launchers only, set to autohide.

Leaving the mouse over a launcher, letting the launcher name/description pop up, then moving the mouse pointer off the panel (usually horizontally, highlighting other icons and spawning their tooltips in succession semi-rapidly) causes the panel to hide but the tooltip remains for the last icon the mouse was over for about 2-3 seconds, even if you click elsewhere.

Expected behavior: tooltips disappear on panel hide event, rather than dwell.

Confirmed.

Either we want to hide the tooltips when the panel goes
or not close the panel when a transient child is still open

From what I can tell if we have a child window to an auto-hidden panel we don't hide the panel now until the child window closes. This should be fixed.
