Description ArkBriar 2015-10-28 11:54:33 UTC
When I do some selection or click some times in konsole (there's text long enough to scroll), and scroll after that will cause jump (lines, even pages, and maybe forward or backward) everytime!

I can reproduce it in almost all of the kapplications. However, gtk based applications(chrome / Thunderbird / gvim ) work well.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open Konsole or System config
2. scroll down with middle button, it behaves normally ( 3 lines down on my machine, smoothly)
2. generate a long text in Konsole and do selection at least 2 times , or click some icons in System config
3. scroll down with middle button
4. AND THEN it will jump lines, sometimes pages( as scrolling continuously you could see the selected text!

Actual Results:
It will jump lines, sometimes pages.

Expected Results:
scroll the lines specified in config, it's 3 lines on my machine

The first time i met this problem is when i was testing Kubuntu 15.04, Plasma 5.3. And I have never met this problem on my Kubuntu 14.04 with Plasma 4.

Here is the detailed environment now:
Hardware: Toshiba satellite l800
Platform: openSUSE Tumbleweed x64
kernel: 4.2.3
KDE Plasma: 5.4.2
Mouse: Logitech G300

I have tested my roommate's Logitech wireless mouse and i could't reproduce this. But when i have the two mouses both plugged in, I could reproduce it with his mouse.

I hope you could find how to solve it. It's really annoying.

Finally, thanks for your efforts!

Can you try pure Qt 5 applications?

I tried Telegram (written & compiled with qt5.5.0) 5 minutes ago.
Most of the time it can scroll normally. However, it would jump half of the page after I clicked some text or made a selection, every time.

Thank u for your comment!
