Currently, when compiling marble all marble apps are compiled, so I have on my system (v1.12):
marble
marble-qt
marble-touch
marble-mobile

As I'm on a desktop with KDE, I don't need marble-touch, marble-mobile and marble-qt at all. If someone is a user of another platform the same problem occurs the other way around. So please provide a build option to build only one (or more) of these apps.

Related, though not doing exactly what you're asking for: https://quickgit.kde.org/?p=marble.git&a=tree&hb=407a29c

You should end up with marble, marble-qt and marble-maps now. The latter kind of replaces marble-touch and marble-mobile. We do not provide a .desktop file for it though, so there should be a little less confusion now.
