Description stu109382 2015-10-23 18:23:46 UTC
I have gtk apps use oxygen as design. Now when I go to the color settings in the KDE control panel and install and select a theme, they are not applied to the gtk applications (e.g. firefox, thunderbird). I'm not sure if it is an issue with the theme or with KDE.

Themes that don't work include:
https://opendesktop.org/content/show.php?content=146358
https://opendesktop.org/content/show.php?content=127547
https://opendesktop.org/content/show.php?content=113038

Themes that do work include:
Breeze
Honeycomb
Wonton Soup

Could it be that only themes shipped directly with KDE do work with gtk apps?
BTW: When gtk apps are set to use Orion as design, they do not change the colors at all (not even to Breeze Dark or something).

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to system settings > colors
2. download theme with name 'Kde Liquid Ice' by MrEchoes
3. Apply the newly installed theme 'Roby Liquid Ice 1.05'

Actual Results:
The system settings window does change color whereas gtk applications such as firefox do not.

Expected Results:
All applications use the newly set colors
