It would be nice, to add feature of saving the clipboard contents more frequently that option "Save on exit", because if the system is running long time and it crashes or Klipper won't be closed properly (eg. hangs itself), the whole content from last Klipper run will be lost.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Copy something into clipboard
2. Kill Klipper the hard way (eg. kill -9)
3. Run Klipper again

Actual Results:  
No copied content from last Klipper run

Expected Results:  
Content copied before the kill should be available.

Thanks for your bug report. This got already implemented, please see https://quickgit.kde.org/?p=plasma-workspace.git&a=commit&h=9e69e845044bb07c7aef4831e05c45cba68ac1d1 and is available since Plasma 5.3

Sorry, my bad. I didn't know Mint has an old version of Plasma.

no worries. That's totally fine. The version you use doesn't provide that, so it's totally fine to report a bug.
