I had to split an A4 size page into 5 equal sections both horizontally and vertically. I went to the grid settings and set the horizontal spacing to 496 and the vertical spacing to 702 (original document size was 2480x3508 pixels, A4, 300dpi). This way I had the perfect grid but when I tried to use the line tool or just paint with any brush, no strokes were created at all. The page remained blank. The issue then persisted even if I turned off the grid view.

So I restarted Krita and set the grid spacing values to a lower value (in this case half of what I originally entered): Horizontal spacing 248 and Vertical spacing to 351 which solved the issue because now I was able to paint and use the line tool as usual.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create A4 document, 300 dpi resolution
2. Go to Krita settings and set grid spacing to 496 horizontal and 702 vertical
3. Show grid and then try to paint or use the line tool

Actual Results:  
No brush strokes or lines were created, selected layer remained empty

Expected Results:  
Create brush strokes and lines with chosen color and brush

Hi David,

Thanks for your report. I'm afraid though that I cannot reproduce the issue (which is logical, since the grid doesn't influence painting, actually). Can you reproduce it reliably?

Hi Boudewijn,

please excuse me for wasting your time. I looked further into the issue and I noticed that my Wacom Bamboo tablet was showing strange behaviour while sculpting in 3d applications (sometimes unresponsive, sometimes not registering the pressure sensitivity). I decided to uninstall and reinstall the Wacom drivers and after that I no longer had the originally reported issue in Krita.
