Description Janet 2015-10-01 12:33:35 UTC
When I add a widget from web via widget explorer (get new widgets), close the dialog and reopen it after logging out and back in the widget is not marked as installed. The button shows "install" again though right after installing it said "uninstall". Also the list of installed widgets is empty.

That means for uninstalling a widget I first have to install it again and right after that uninstall it. And I cannot search for installed widgets.

Reproducible: Always

confirm. I also do not switch
Comment 2 D1mon 2017-12-10 20:05:12 UTC
It also does not show "installed" in:
Get new {theme,cursor,looks,scheme,...}
widgets are installed, and the button's title does not change

Also this applies to the "Update" button. An update is kind of happening. But the button's title does not change to "Uninstall"

Install/Uninstall/Install Again buttons are working correctly and Installed section correctly displays installed widgets

I just did a test on Arch Linux, plasma 5.12.1.

I installed simple menu widget from "get new widgets > download new plasma widgets".
Just installed widget was available clickig on filter icon on top of widget exporer under "uinstalable".
So I uninstalled simple menu and restarted my session.
Now simple menu is missing from widget explorer but when I open "get new widgets > download new plasma widgets" and select "installed" radio button, simple meniu is listed ("uninstall" button is available).

This was fixed a while ago.
