Hi Ralf, a few questions: 1. What is your OS, distro , versions, CPU arch, etc.? 2. Did you try it in a new UNIX user account? 3. Like #2 but with a different window manager or desktop env, such as JWM, IceWM or Xfce. 4. Did you try building gwenview from git and running it? For the record , gwenview from git runs fine here on Xfce on Mageia Linux x86-64 v6/Cauldron, without the symptoms you described. 1. I am on Debian testing amd64 2. I tried a brand new account. Logged in with cinnamon, opened a jpg-file, double-clicked for full-screen - and waited 30sec for it to happen. Then I did Alt-F4 to leave the application, opened the same jpg file again, and Gwenview was in that weird state with a menu and all, but "full-screen" as in no title bar and no panel. 3. I don't have tons of Desktops installed... gwenview works fine under KDE. 4. Nope - would that help? I just tried logging in with openbox, Gwenview behaved as expected under this window manager. has dysfunctional UI - how do I fix it?
Seems like gwenview's Full Screen mode misbehaves with cinnamon-session-2.6.3-3.mga6 here on Mageia Linux x86-64 v6/Cauldron, too. I am now seeing similar behavior with Konsole: It starts in some kind of broken full-screen mode, after I accidentally enabled and disabled normal full-screen once. *** Bug 344127 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Is this reproducible with later versions of Gwenview and Cinnamon? I am no longer using Cinnamon, so I cannot tell. (In reply to Nate Graham from comment #9) > Is this reproducible with later versions of Gwenview and Cinnamon? I'm going to test it on mageia v7 x86-64. Tested and i cannot reproduce this bug - gwenview seems fine there. Marking as worksforme. |
