Sentry Crash Report:

Description Alex Merry 2015-09-13 15:04:26 UTC
Because I'm trying to connect to kdetalk.net with an @kde.org JID, I'm getting SSL errors (which I don't seem to be able to ignore, probably because of Bug 337755). However, the only reason I know this is the problem is by looking at the console output of plasmashell. When I try to go online it just spins a sort of busy notification, then stops, still offline, with no indication of what might have gone wrong.

Empathy, by contrast, displays a "certificate hostname mismatch" message.

Reproducible: Always

Dear user, unfortunately Telepathy is no longer maintained.

Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
