When I go to configure desktop, display and monitor, screenlocker, I uncheck the box that says start automatically after... and then hit apply, but the screen will still lock after about 10 minutes.

I can't confirm. "Lock screen automatically after:" is always unchecked in screen locking settings here and my screen is never locked automatically.
