Comment was something like "Text Editor", I think for that we now have the GenericName. Comment <> GenericName. GenericName=Text Editor Missing Comment, issue is present. And what should be the "Comment"? Suggests: Simple text editor KDE Text Editor Simple text editor for KDE If I understand the current concept right, the comment moved to the appdata xml as summary, which is installed in parallel and used by e.g. the kde plasma menu. Other applications like dolphin do it that way, too, I don't see why we should introduce comment in .desktop again. Other DEs use Comment from desktop file only. Kwrite is present in Menu not only for KDE. If to put desktop file on the Desktop, then Comment should be shown in KDE onMouseMove.
