After an hour or two of work, I don't keep track, I finally got to the end of an edit.

As I watched and listened to the end of my cut the entire program crashed and I lost all of my work and even if it was retrievable, I don't know how to retrieve it.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Add video
2. Play video
3. App crashes and data is gone

Actual Results:  
The application crashed and I lost all of my work.

Expected Results:  
Not crashed.  The player should just stop and reset to the beginning of the set tracks like every other video editor.  Even to the last flag or cut in the video or audio.

Like every other editor.

Computer Hardware:  Core i7 870 4 Core
12 GB Ram (samsung + Gskill Sport)
Samsung P800 SSD
Seagate Caviar 750 GB HDD
Nvidia GT330
Ubuntu Mate 15.04

Hello,

Sorry but your report doesn't give enough information to help debugging.
I guess you are using kdenlive/MLT/libav from Mate 15.04 official repo?
Could you get a backtrace from the crash?
What are the formats of your source clips?
What effects/transitions do you apply?
Do you have special monitors opened (color correction, audio spectrum)...
