Hi.

For a few weeks now, Okular prints pdfs with slightly wrong scaling (as compared to Evince and Acrobat).

Today I got a new, worse behavior: pages are enlarged and thus cropped. See sample pictures at

The file "good-output" was printed via okular, and the result is "bad-output", which is bad.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. print pdf file to printer (either local HP printer or virtual CUPS-pdf).
2. look at output.
3.

What did you do so that the behaviour changed?

As far as I recall, I fiddled with the menu options in okular | print, and printed using evince.

I tried some more samples. There appear to be two distinct problems, and these probably coexisted for some time. It is possible that nothing changed yesterday...

1) PDF files from commercial publishers. Here okular gets the size wrong (too much magnification) and the centering, resulting in a real mess. See file paper2-okular.pdf, compared to paper2-evince.pdf.

2) PDF files gennerated on my computer (pdflatex on linux). Here okular prints a correct image, except that it is scaled down (shrunk) by about 10%. Compare paper3-okular.pdf to paper3-evince.pdf.

Please report one item in the bug tracker for each different bug, otherwise it's very hard to work on them separately, update the bug status, etc.

Do you mean that I should open two new tickets?

Yes please
