Aurorae/OpenGL/Glyph cache - it's a driver issue for 99.9% and Qt bug for 0.1% odds. It doesn't really relate to the KWin compositor (the QtQuick GL scene in the aurorae decoration is the major problem), but the multitude of GL contexts will likely raise chances you run into this. Can you please attach the output of "glxinfo"? I remember that we had similar issues with Plasma and that it was somehow related to the text element. I need to ask a Plasma dev what the change was, but everyone who could know it and has NVIDIA (so hit the problem) seems to be on vacation... Wild guess: "renderType: Text.QtRendering" ? Aurorae (though also some/most plasma QML) has Text.NativeRendering @Jerome /usr/share/kwin/aurorae/aurorae.qml Just try to change the attribute and restart KWin - then see what happens.
