After changing view colors to saner values (green for added, red for removed and yellow for changed) and hitting Apply nothing changes and after entering Settings colors are set to defaults.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open View Settings;
2. Change colors.
3. Press OK or Apply.

Actual Results:  
No change in view, settings are not stored.

Expected Results:  
Colors in view should be changed and settings has to be preserved.

Thank you for reporting this bug in KDE software. As it has been a while since this issue was reported, can we please ask you to see if you can reproduce the issue with a recent software version?

@Justin Zobel, yes, I can still reproduce it, but with a bit different steps, using version 4.1.21123 (Kubuntu 22.04).

Current steps to reproduce:
1. run kompare without arguments;
2. change color in dialog;
3. compare files.

Kompare will use previous color set in view, but selected colors are not forgotten (settings still show old ones until opening another instance) and are used for the next diff. 
Changing colors in settings while the diff is displayed applies them as expected.
