i show as offline to other person im attempting to chat to ,cannot send or receive messages

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.log into kopete
2.show status as online
3.attempt to chat

Actual Results:  
nil. not recognised as being online in chat window

Expected Results:  
should connect and show as being online
