No idea whether widget addons is the proper component. However, I bet your right arm that this is not a bug in KDE but your screen reports a junk resolution. (1080p is not a resolution, not even "1080 px high" is - the resolution is measured in pixels per inch) Check a) the output of "xdpyinfo | grep resolution" b) /var/log/Xorg.0.log - iirc notably Samsung screens have a record to report being 160mm high or such. Kai, do you happen to know whether the logical resolution is used for this? hehe, don't bet *my* arm, please :P sorry, was my fault, being lazy and instead of saying 1920x1080 I said 1080p... The "Display Configuration - KDE Control Module" reports 1920x1080 as resolution on both displays. $ xdpyinfo | grep resolution resolution: 96x96 dots per inch I don't know what should I look for in /var/log/Xorg.0.log ? cannot find anything regarding "Samsung", however, the external screen is indeed a SyncMaster S23B350, but I've seen this behavior for other screens as well *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 301622 *** |
