I tested on the latest version available here ppa:kubuntu-ci/unstable (5.3.90) and it's still the same. Seems to work with packages from here on Kubuntu https://launchpad.net/~kubuntu-ci/+archive/ubuntu/stable?field.series_filter=wily After an update it can be unresponsive again. Any news on this ? Seems to be OK (fixed ?) in Kubuntu 15.10. I just test again and the "unresponsivess" is back. Sometimes that work, sometimes don't. I have the feeling to speak alone on this one. So can I have a feedback on this problem please ? Thanks Confirmed on 5.4.2. (Besides that the default window size is too small or the controls too big so weird horizontal scroll bars appear) Hello David, Can this be fixed please ? Thanks A little reminder. Same with ROSA packages (Plasma 5.5.2). When run from systemsettings SDDM KCM is always unresponsive in my test VirtualBox machine. But when run just as "kcmshell5 sddm" it works fine. That seem to be right. I just tested, for fun, the Nouveau drivers and the windows don't seem to be unresponsive anymore ! Maybe it's a problem with the Nvidia drivers ? But VirtualBox with 3D Acceleration turned off is also affected. Maybe it's a problem with some drivers ? Nvidia recently fixed their driver for a problem with Qt that impede KDE softs. Is there a fix planned ? Maybe that can be closed now. It doesn't seem to happen now. |
