This is kind of a hard bug to describe as the exact trigger for the crash are sometimes a bit random. But mostly it happens if you drag Title Clips in your timeline - especially dragging them ABOVE a previous Title clip (so they would stack atop each other with Affine transition). Often times kdenlive crashes while dragging the Title Clip into the timeline (before letting go the mouse button)

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create two different title clips
2. Please one Title Clip in your timeline. Preferably above a video clip (h264 video) so it stacks on the video using Affine Transition
3. Drag the second Title Clip ABOVE the first one so both would stack atop each other on the video.

Actual Results:  
kdenlive crashes - no always but in 1 of 3 cases for me.

Expected Results:  
Not to crash. :)

I also seem to be able getting kdenlive to crash by creating a new Title Clip. To do this, I place my Timeline marker on a Title clip which is stacked on a video (with Affine Transition). Then I open the window to create a NEW Title Clip. 
Then, if I select "Show background", kdenlive likes to crash as well.

Appears to be Qt bug for long (few applications use multithreaded text rendering), they will be working on it...

Same problem here on Debian stable+testing, Qt 5.4.2, kdenlive 15.04

Backtrace

Confirming what I believe to be the same bug. I created one title clip, copied it twice, placing it on two layers. Randomly crashes every time.

Bug appears to be:
QFontEngineFT::shouldUseDesignMetrics(QFlags<QFontEngine::ShaperFlag>) const () from /usr/lib/libQt5XcbQpa.so.5

This bug has had its resolution changed, but accidentally has been left in NEEDSINFO status. I am thus closing this bug and setting the status as RESOLVED to reflect the resolution change.
