Appears to be Qt bug for long (few applications use multithreaded text rendering), they will be working on it... Same problem here on Debian stable+testing, Qt 5.4.2, kdenlive 15.04 Created attachment 94731 [details]

Confirming what I believe to be the same bug. I created one title clip, copied it twice, placing it on two layers. Randomly crashes every time.
Bug appears to be:
QFontEngineFT::shouldUseDesignMetrics(QFlags<QFontEngine::ShaperFlag>) const () from /usr/lib/libQt5XcbQpa.so.5
