I have the same problem (Linux Mint 17.1 KDE) with a little variation. I don't have the issue about a changed user picture. The workaround with setting the password in the terminal, log in into new user account etc. does not make the new user visible in the user manager of the original user account. However, both users are visible in the user manager in the new user account. Starting with Plasma 5.4 kcm_useraccount has been deprecated in favor of user-manager (you can run with kcmshell5 user_manager). This means that unfortunately we did not get to fix your bug, sorry about that. We encourage you to try user-manager and report any bug or improvement you may find. Sorry again for not fixing your bug and thanks for caring about KDE :) I have the same problem with fedora installing over the network iso, plasma 5.20.3. |
