Description Philipp A. 2015-06-03 10:24:03 UTC
On my laptop, unplugging or plugging the monitor reliably breaks the task manager.

I have to kill and restart plasmashell to get a working one again.

Reproducible: Always

Same problem with traditional task manager. Docking and undocking my laptop from station (with connected external display) breaks task manager. I have missing runnig tasks on panel. Restart plasma-desktop solve problem.

Same situation on new clean profile.

Reproducible always. If not, try suspend to RAM/Resume after display is disconnected.

Distro Arch Linux
KDE Version: 4.14.3
kdebase-workspace: 4.11.20

I can't reproduce this with 5.4.3, is this issue still occurring?
Comment 3 Eike Hein 2016-06-16 23:25:26 UTC
Plasma 5.7 ships a fully-rewritten Task Manager backend which should resolve these issues. Please re-test with the Plasma 5.7 final release and feel free to reopen if problems do persist after all.
