Description Winston 2015-05-30 21:56:27 UTC
60 fps lags out in the Project Monitor. This is really annoying as it makes it nearly impossible for it to edit. When I render it, it renders it out fine. I know this is not my computer as it can play 60 fps video without a hitch on other video editing programs, however I've gotten used to the awesomeness of Kdenlive so I normally stick to it instead.

Note: version is 0.9.6, I don't know how to change the version in the bug report
OS: Elementary OS Freya 0.3
CPU: Intel i7-4770k

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Import a 60 fps video in kdenlive
2. Attempt to play it

Actual Results:
The video will start stuttering and freezing.

Expected Results:
Play it smoothly at 60 fps.

I can also cause it to lag in 0.9.10

Only happens with wmv files... strange

Winston, can you please try on a recent installation of Kdenlive 16.04.2, or alternatively on the current 16.7.90 beta? See also the project ppas: http://thediveo-e.blogspot.com/2016/04/new-ppas-for-kdenlive-on-ubuntu.html

The beta now comes with preview rendering, see here: http://thediveo-e.blogspot.com/2016/05/kdenlive-preview-rendering-odds-and-ends.html

If this solves this issue for you, please be so kind as to close this bug report as RESOLVED. Thank you very much for your cooperation!
