Description Alessandro Briosi 2015-05-28 07:27:16 UTC
It happens often when dragging a "wine" icon from the menu to the task bar (to add the launcher)
that it crashes the plasmashell.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Drag a "wine" launcher from the main menu
2. Not even dropping it (hold it with the mouse) over the taskbar

Actual Results:
crash and restart (icon is not added)

Expected Results:
icon can be added

backtrace needed

I tried generating one, but it kept on telling me that the debug info was not available, no matter if I went on and installed the debug packages. Anyway I'll attach the generated one.

Now it's not happening everytime, but it's often.
It seems that the procedure is:
1. Open the menu
2. search for the program
3. Drag the program to the taskbar

Sounds like upstream bug https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTBUG-33920
Comment 5 Alessandro Briosi 2015-05-29 13:07:19 UTC
well, the crash is happening before the "release button" event.
