Description akhilesh 2015-05-22 20:03:06 UTC
When downloading something from Ktorrent, inducing laptop sleep causes the kernel to go into panic mode. The same results occur if I try to hibernate. This issue does not arise if I don't have the ktorrent process running.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Make sure ktorrent is downloading something(not just seeding)
2. Close laptop lid to induce sleep / led it automatically sleep - same with hibernate
3. Open Laptop lid

Actual Results:
Kernel Panics

Expected Results:
The KDE login screen

I'd really like to put up a log file here but i'm just a regular user. I'm using KDE 5.3. I tried to get the SystemD journal output, but its a 115mb text log file.

Kernel Version: 3.18
Distro : Manjaro

I'd like to add that the option "inhibit sleep while torrents are active" has no effect on the bug whatsoever.

i.e

1. If the inhibit sleep option is enabled, the kernel enters panic mode
2. If the inhibit sleep option is disabled, the kernel still enters panic mode

Issue was with my wifi drivers from broadcom and not ktorrent.
