I think it would be a nice addition if you could  apply wrap around mode on a selection isolating it so you can create a seamless  wrapping piece.

A use case for this would be if you want to work in a texture atlas directly.

This request is completely different from that ticket. 
It's talking about wrapping on one axis. I'm talking about isolating a certain area to wrap.

Please do not change the resolution: we use duplicate to group requests together, too. Bugzilla is our todo tool, and we need to be able to manage it.
