Thanks for the report. I think this is caused by libproxy1-plugin-kconfig (in some distros libproxy-kde) - can you try removing that package and try again? Created attachment 92578 [details] attachment-22612-0.html The only libproxy package I have is http://libproxy.googlecode.com version 0.4.11 and is a dependency for a lot of packages. Removing it prevented telepathy from connecting at all.
