Hi,

There seems to be a regression on the release of Plasma 5.3: I used to be able to drag a launcher icon from kicker ( for example ), and drop it in the desktop containment of the plasmashell ( same with kde4 plasma shell ).

Right now, i can see the desktop launchers i had previously configured from plasma 5.2, but i cannot add new.

 I drag and drop the launchers, but no icon appears in the desktop containment.

I have the same situation, using Kubuntu with Plasma 5.3. Using the classic menu, I can right-click to add to the desktop, but cannot drag and drop using the standard layout, and there is no right-click menu option to add to desktop

This problem affects both my laptop and desktop computers.
