Please provide more details about your system -- where did you get the packages from? Chances are rather high that this is a broken or incomplete installation. Gwenview Version 5.0.0 pre Using KDE Frameworks 5.9.0 ubuntu 15.04 It worked fine until Ubuntu upgraded from 14.10 I got the same issue. Perhaps IMHO it may be linked to a general problem with the opendialog box in Plasma 5. For example, simply by opening Kate and browsing a file. *** Bug 348459 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** I'm a new Linux user. I installed a dual boot of the latest ubuntu 15 alongside with windows 7. everything went smoothly. I have this problem exactly as described. Has there ever been a fix? I'm encountering the same problem on Ubuntu 16.04 I've installed gwenview by typing sudo apt-get install gwenview at the console Gwenview 15.12.3 KDE Frameworks 5.18.0 Qt 5.5.1 The xcb windowing system Thanks Created attachment 100646 [details]
