A video/film project can require multiple edits or sequences using different timelines. Consider a user-friendly way to incorporate multiple edits in a project, similar to how Adobe Premiere Pro has multiple "Sequences" or how Lightworks has multiple "Edits" in their bins or their versions of the Project Tree.

Effect:
- Helps better manage video project content and workflow by providing the option of segmenting certain scenes or sequences into their own cut.

Reproducible: Always

Recommendation proposed upon evaluating Kdenlive 15.04.0 on Kubuntu 15.04 x64.

i second this... another use scenario is when working with other editors you can import their edits and modify them if needed.

Agrred, compare i.e. to Blackmagic Resolve - you can have a dozen (or more) timelines for different versions.

As an example use-case consider different voice-overs/captions for multi-national distributions or a "tamed" version for markets that may be offended by certain content.

@JB, I think you said in another post that this is what the Library widget is meant for?

This topic has been opened and (I believe) is actively being discussed in Phabricator. I'm closing this bug report and continuing any discussion on there.
