EDIT: Just additional information - when I go into System Settings > Desktop Behavior > Virtual Desktops, then change the virtual desktop # and click "Apply", then the Pager applet appeared on the right-side of the panel and appears to be working properly. I was able to move it to the left side of the panel and perform the normal switching functions, right-clicking, etc. Hope that extra info' helps. It deliberately hides when there is only one virtual desktop. This was so we could have it on the default panel for if people add more, but not pointlessly only showin one desktop Is that what you're seeing? David, sorry for the late reply. Yes, I believe this is what I was seeing. So, adding a pager widget to the panel when only one virtual desktop is set hides the widget, even after you've added it? If so, maybe adding the widget to the panel could be changed, if it's felt appropriate, to immediately set two virtual desktops? Meaning: 1. Pager widget is added to the desktop or panel. 2. If only one virtual desktop is configured, it is automatically configured to have two. 3. Widget shows as normal, with two virtual desktops available. I think that adding the Pager widget to the panel, only to have it hidden because 1 desktop is active would be misleading and confusing to many users (myself included). Appreciate the listening ear. Starting in Plasma 5.6 if you enter panel edit mode, the pager will reveal itself so you can easily re-arrange, configure and remove it again. The original bug, where when dragging a Pager from Widget Explorer won't show anything is still present, however. Bug is obsolete. Closing. |
