Hello

I'm running digiKam in Plasma 5 using my custom dark theme. Some of the icons in the interface seem to be designed for light themes, and on my dark theme I can barely see them. I don't remember this being a problem in KDE4 so maybe digiKam has some sort of detection which is failing?

Notice the little icons in both side panels and in the bottom panel:

My theme:

$HOME/.kde4/share/apps/color-schemes/CookieDoughLightSelectionBackground.colors

Reproducible: Always

Icons used by digiKam 4.x come from Oxygen collection.

Plasma 5 use Brezze collection which is different.

I agree that Brezze collection is less suitbale than Oxygen. Other KDE application have the same problem.

That's it! Much better with "breeze dark" icon theme. I just hope that there will be no side-effects, as I'm using a light theme in Plasma but want to use a dark theme in digiKam...

Breeze is for light colors and Breeze Dark is for darker colors.

Pity one can no longer use a dark theme in digiKam but a light theme in Plasma.
