Description Clinton 2015-04-19 02:51:37 UTC
When I type in the sudo dpkg or sudo apt get commands, the terminal gives me the root password prompt as normal, but will not accept keystrokes, therefore i cannot type in the password.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.type in "sudo dpkg" or "sudo apt get" and specify a file in the terminal. (such as a .deb)
2.you will see the password prompt, but will not be able to type anything in.
3.

Actual Results:
I could not enter any keystrokes into the terminal.

Expected Results:
The software should have let me enter in the password and executed the command to install the application.

Please ask for help in a forum of your distribution.

When entering passwords on the command line, the common behavior is to never show what you type.
