Quickfix for performance problem
Hi, I can confirm this. The program is quite inefficient in placing the characters on the screen. I profiled the program, found and fixed the most CPU-intensive situation. Patch attached ... Regards Moritz Hi, I also confirm that. But in my case it doesn't matter if the window is maximized or not. And can also confirm that Moritz's patch solves the problem. -- Best regards, Andrzej Telszewski The patch by Moritz Nisblé improves the performance a lot, without it ktouch is completely unusable for me. Still, even with the patch applied the UI still lags quite a bit behind when typing fast. I tested the patch. Without it, ktouch IS NOT USEABLE. Version: 4:15.12.3-0ubuntu1 Sorry, but a type-trainer should be able to run on a Core 2 Duo. If a beginner can type faster then the program updates the display, you are seriously broken. Please apply the patch or fix the underlying problem. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 350336 *** |
