Does it give any message that "active settings do not match saved settings" when you go into kcm? And which driver is installed/used - synaptics or libinput? No message, using synaptics Still relevant? Can't reproduce this anymore in 5.8.3 I correct myself: this is still reproducible in my desktop machine, but not in the laptop. The difference is that the desktop machine doesn't have a touchpad, so the kcm shows a "No touchpad found" message and all controls are disabled. This is the expected/intended behaviour in desktops as they don't have internal touchpad. I know, but that is not what this report is about Thanks for the quick response. Yea, I was in fact already about to fix the second problem you now also encountered and wanted to ask before I did this if there is even another catch I should consider. But so it seems that both problems are gone now. |
